Matthew 19:27-30, Then answered Peter and said unto Him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed Thee; what shall we have therefore? 28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. 30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
Call the laborers parable
Matthew 20:1-16, For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard. 2 And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. 5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? 7 They say unto him, Because no man has hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. 8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the laborers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. 9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. 10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. 11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, 12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou has made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. 13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: did not thou agree with me for a penny? 14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
In Matthew19:27-28, Jesus is going to set up twelve thrones for His twelve disciples, and they will judge over the twelve tribes of Israel. At the beginning of the thousand years of peace, Jesus will perform the 1st resurrection. He will resurrect His twelve disciples, king David, and the other obedient Jews in accordance with the “dry bones” prophecy. Jesus is also going to resurrect those that died for Jesus and the word of God.
Matthew19:29, “And everyone that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” In Matthew19:29, This is required to get into heaven, everyone must put God first above all! but when you do He rewards you greatly. [Reference] Matthew 22:37, Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew19:30, “But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” In Matthew19:30, The people that put themselves before others will be last; and the people that put others before themselves will be first. [Reference] Matthew 22:39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. [Reference] Matthew22:36-40, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
In Matthew 20:1-16, God called the Gentiles to be laborers in His vineyard[religion]. As we know once they become a part of the Lord’s vineyard; they become Jews by faith and children of the Most High God. This is the same reward [payment].
Jesus made us a part of the family of God, not stepchildren but full-blooded children of the Most High. In fact, during the thousand years of peace when Jesus is going to reign on Earth with us, we will be living among the children of Israel. Partaking in the 1st resurrection for those that fit the criteria, is part of the reward[payment] as well.
Acts 10:11-16, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: 12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. 15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God has cleansed, that call not thou common. 16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
In Acts 10:11-16, God is giving Peter a vision of different animals that have always been unfit to eat, God commands Peter to eat them but Peter says no because they are unclean or common. In verse 15 God tells Peter not to call the things He has cleansed, “common”… What God is teaching Peter is; the Gentiles that were always seen as unclean or common have now been cleansed by Him. Cornelius the centurion a Gentile received the Holy Ghost the same as the rest of the disciples. Confirming that the Gentiles that believe in Jesus have become Jews by faith as was the case with the Hebrews, not stepchildren but full-blooded children of the Most High.
Inheritance by faith
Romans 4:10-18, How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: 12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. 13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: 15 Because the law works wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before Him whom he believed, even God, who quickens the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
In Romans 4:10-18, The promise to Abraham, being the father of many nations, is faith and religion-based. God made the flesh seed of Abraham one nation, Israel… and to them that have believed in Jesus; this promise for. [Part one of this promise fulfilled]. Through Jesus, God has now completely fulfilled part two of His promise to Abraham, “many nations“, and has made all that believe in Jesus the family of God, and Jews and Abrahams descendants by faith. Reference end of verse 17, “and calls those things which be not as though they were.” By faith, the Gentiles inherited Judaism, reference verse 14, “For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:”
Romans 4:21-25, And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25 Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.
John the baptist confirms this
Matthew3:7, But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. 10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
In Matthew 3:9, “God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” God actually raised up children unto Abraham through Jesus by faith; making all of them Jews. Those that have rejected their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth are no longer Jews. This is why we get the same reward in the Call the Laborers parable “10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.”
In Matthew 3:10, “10 And now also the ax is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” This is to say: Everyone that does not open their heart and receive Jesus is going to be cut off at the root, severed from God’s religion, and cast into the fire, into the lake of fire; because they are of the synagogue of Satan. Revelations 2:9, I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Book of Abraham confirms this
Chapter 2:9-10, And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee above measure, and make thy name great among all nations, and thou shall be a blessing unto thy seed after thee, that in their hands they shall bear this ministry and Priesthood unto all nations; 10 And I will bless them through thy name; for as many as receive this Gospel shall be called after thy name, and shall be accounted thy seed, and shall rise up and bless thee, as their father;
God requires
Matthew 10:34-39, Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he that takes not his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me. 39 He that finds his life shall lose it: and he that loses his life for My sake shall find it.
Abraham’s faith, love, and obedience meets God’s requirements
Genesis 22:1-14, And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou love, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. 7 And Isaac spoke unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. 12 And He said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fear God, seeing thou has not withheld thy son, thine only son from Me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
Foreshadowing event
Genesis 22:2, And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou love, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
This foreshadows God sacrificing Jesus, His only begotten son, to offer salvation to the world. Purchasing all who believe on His son at a great cost, the blood of Jesus. In fact a greater cost than the one used to purchase the children of Israel.
The children of Israel were purchased by God through Moses freeing them from slavery at the hands of the Egyptians. As a result their bodies were no longer their own. They were now children of the Most High and had to behave accordingly. God gave His law to Moses; to give to the children of Israel, for that purpose. It is the knowledge of good and evil so to speak. And with this knowledge came accountability, God does not hold people accountable for the things they truly didn’t know were wrong. But once you know you are completely accountable.
Likewise today we have been purchased by the blood of Jesus, our bodies are not our own but His. We are children of the Most High through Jesus and must behave accordingly. Remember, Jesus did not lay down His life so we could do whatever we want.Â
