Son of God
If Jesus was to say to the Jews, He is God that has come in the flesh, everyone would have closed their ears and picked up a stone and tried to stone Him. It was always written that the Messiah would speak[teach] in parables. Jesus did not come to destroy lives but to save them! He used His powers to heal and to cast out evil spirits, freeing people. Jesus only withered one disobedient fig tree.
It is okay to refer to Jesus as God in the flesh because Jesus said He and God are one. In the old testament, God said He is a jealous God, and He will give His glory to none other. In revelations, the angels in heaven are worshiping the Lamb. Only the Lamb was worthy to open the seals. Because the Lamb is a part of God, God made flesh. His blood to save our lives, there is no greater love than that.
John 14:8-11, Philip saith unto Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it suffices us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet has thou not known Me, Philip? he that has seen Me has seen the Father; and how say thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believe thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake.
It is okay to refer to Jesus as the Son of God, this is what He taught as well. If your heart is for God and you love Him; God will hear your prayers. Just remember that we all glorify His holy name Jesus, all things are done through this name, Jesus is the part of God that suffered and died on the cross for our sins. Redeeming those that surrender their will to God asking forgiveness of Him, Loving and obeying His will. Faith, Love, and Obedience… that is the way; the walk to God…
Jesus was never the carpenter’s son! In the bible, the people only referred to Him like that because they didn’t know He was the Son of God, or God made flesh. The tradition was for a son to take on the father’s trade for a career, Jesus did just that; He was about His Father’s business… His Father which is in heaven, that is.
Luke 2:48-49, And when they saw Him, they were amazed: and His mother said unto Him, Son, why have Thou thus dealt with us? behold, Thy father and I have sought Thee sorrowing. 49 And He said unto them, How is it that ye sought Me? knew ye not that I must be about My Father’s business?
Jesus always knew who He was, Mary and Joseph should have known who He was. Today we know who He is, so to call Jesus the son of a carpenter is just wrong and is a worldly way to try and understand scripture. As we grow in learning we are to think spiritually not carnally[worldly]. The Holy Ghost is our teacher and He reveals true things.
Matthew 13:54-57, And when He was come into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Where has this Man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s Son? is not His mother called Mary? and His brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then has this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in Him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.
Important: People that hate you or are offended by you do not get to define who you are, you do; by your actions. Jesus clearly defined who He was in, Luke 2:49, “knew ye not that I must be about My Father’s business?”
So how do we pray?
Jesus taught us the proper way to pray, 1st pray to the Father, 2nd give thanks[reverence Him], Then make your request or speak what is on your heart. Whatever you ask of the Father, ask it in the name of Jesus. All things are done in the name of Jesus, from baptism, casting out of devils, and requesting God the Father.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask Me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you.
The Lord’s Prayer [pray in the morning]
Our Father which is in heaven, Hallowed is Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will is done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debt, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
-
- [ 9 ] begin with respect and praise “Our Father” and “Hallowed is your name” or “Holy is your name”
- [10] you are acknowledging through faith that Jesus is coming back and God is sovereign in earth as in heaven
- [11] you are asking God for spiritual teaching and healing the things that are needed to be saved
- [12] forgive our sins as we forgive those that sin against us
- [13] requesting protection from the tricks of the devil, because God has the power over all things including the devil.
- By praying this prayer you will receive protection and blessings. This is why you want to pray this at the start of your day… but you should pray to Jesus three times a day.
Trinity the Godhead
• One Godhead’s name went from I AM to Jehovah,
• The other Godhead’s name went from Melchizedek to Jesus
• The other Godhead’s name is known as the Holy Ghost.
