The Truth
Every one of us is descended from Noah. Noah’s family was chosen, by God, to repopulate the earth after the Great Flood. Because they were the only ones on earth who followed God, [God’s chosen people]. After the waters subsided and they stepped off the Ark, Noah built an altar. God blessed all of them and told them to be fruitful and multiply. Then God made a covenant with all of them and their children that would follow after them. God promised that He would not destroy the earth with water again, and He would set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise. At this point, Noah’s family all followed after God. This made them all partakers of God’s religion, which we know is Judaism.
Who are the Gentiles? The Gentiles are the chosen of God that went astray after the Great Flood. They began to worship idols and do all manner of wickedness before the Lord. [because of this, they fell out of grace with the Lord and were called Gentiles.]
Who are the Jews? The Jews are the chosen of God that stayed obedient to God after the Great Flood and later were called Hebrews. They were loyal to God, and God was loyal to them. [For this reason, God called them His people, they kept God’s grace.]
From the days of Noah until Jesus
Hebrews from the line of Shem: Are the chosen people that obeyed God after the Great Flood; God called them His people and they worshiped God. [They kept grace with God, kept Judaism] [Abraham was from the line of Shem and the children of Israel because of Noah’s blessing]
Gentiles from Japheth and Ham: Are the chosen people that disobeyed God after the Great Flood; They began to worship idols and do all manner of evil before the Lord. For this cause, they were no longer called God’s people but referred to as Gentiles instead. [They fell from God’s grace – removed from Judaism]
Genesis 9:1-4, And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. Genesis 9:6-7, Whoso sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made He man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
Genesis 9:8-9, And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 And I, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
Genesis 9:18-19, And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
Genesis 9:24-27, And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. 26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
From the crucifixion of Jesus until now
Hebrews: When God Himself in the flesh came, Jesus Christ, the Jews denied Him and crucified Him. They rejected the Head of Judaism, Jesus Christ, and their loyalty toward God was now gone. [They fell from grace as did the Gentiles after Noah, removed from Judaism]
Gentiles: After the Jews rejected their God, Jesus Christ, Jesus reopened Judaism to the Gentiles if they would believe and accept Jesus into their hearts and obey Him. The Grace that was lost to them since the time after Noah; was now made available again through faith in Jesus Christ. [Found the grace their ancestors once had on the Ark through Jesus, kept Judaism]
Hebrews: That remained loyal to God through Jesus Christ and for any that would return to God through Jesus Christ. [Grace kept or Grace returned – kept Judaism]
Summary
We all have a common ancestry. Some of our ancestors turned their back on God right away, and some of our ancestors turned their back on God much later. Let no man boast of himself or his ancestry, but stay humble before God and man. There is none righteous, no not one, and none of us are/were counted worthy; to save or to be saved. But God is good and righteous and worthy to save. He made Himself a flesh body, Jesus Christ, and allowed Himself to suffer and die on the cross. But it was not, is not; fitting for any part of God to remain dead. And Jesus Christ was resurrected after the third day. God was able to save Himself and us; the proof of this is in Jesus Christ.
Why did God suffer and lay down His life for us? After all, we’re filthy wretches, sinners, every one of us. God called us His children, all of us who believe in Him, and it was so. Our God is great! He speaks things into existence that never existed before. Praise God! He reveals things to us that weren’t known or understood since the foundation of this world. We are His children, and He loves us with a greater love than we are capable of. This is why He laid down His life for us; it’s not the will of God that any one of us perishes.
God’s sacrifice for us allows any that believes to receive the gift of His Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost. I am not good or righteous; I am not anything without God, ONLY GOD IS GOOD. The Holy Ghost in me is good, and it’s God’s righteousness that I cling to. The Lord is my everything and my reason for being. I am truly nothing without Him, I love Him, and He loves me.
God is love, and He only speaks the truth. God does not lie; He doesn’t tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. God corrects us when we are wrong and stands by His every word. So, if God is in us, we should speak God’s truth and not be men-pleasers. We should correct our brothers and sisters with God’s truth; in hopes that they will be able to rejoice in God’s goodness. We should stand up for and hang on to every word of God, no matter the cost to ourselves. We are called to deny ourselves and follow God. Love God with all your being; anything less is unacceptable before the eyes of the Lord.
Revelations 3:15-17, I know thy works, that thou are neither cold nor hot: I would thou were cold or hot. 16 So then because thou are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth. 17 Because thou say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knows not that thou are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
• If you want to follow God too keep yourself out of the lake of fire. Then your motivation is selfish, and you will only do what you think is enough to get you into Heaven. This is the Lukewarm state that is spoken of in Revelations. He will spit you out of His mouth.
• If you want to follow God because you love Him more than yourself. You want to get to Heaven to worship God, feel His love, rejoice in His goodness, and be complete once again. This is the Hot state that is spoken of in Revelations. He will welcome you.
• If you deny what God did for you or His very existence. This is the Cold state that is spoken of in Revelations. He has prepared the lake of fire for you.
• Lukewarm and Cold end up in the same place. What God is telling us is simple: Do it right or Don’t do it at all. In Revelation 3:17, God is referring to the people that think they are blessed because of their buying power in this world.
Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. God didn’t call us to be fifty percenters. I tell you this, give one hundred fifty percent of yourself to the Lord.
